HEALTHY COOKING: Family Series - It's Time to Stop the Madness

ATTENTION Moms & Dads!

It is TIME!

To STOP the Madness!

This is a brief introduction to a long overdue Blog series on Healthy Cooking for The Family.

We are in full back-to-school mode and now is a better time than ever take a litmus test of how you are providing for your children!
Are they getting the best foods and meals to fuel their bodies to perform at their highest potential?
They need energy in the classroom, for the time with their peers, and throughout their school day.
Then they need energy for their after school activities - whether it be for an organized activity, academics, a hobby/interest, a sport, and to give them the confidence they need to survive and succeed in life.

Or are you neglecting them by giving them the high fat, high sugar, and high simple carbohydrates throughout their day - starving their bodies of proper nutrition and robbing their minds of the best fuel to live with?

Are you making selfish decisions based on your lack of time, energy, or interest - if you care at all about your child's future and well-being - you will take this responsibility seriously and re-evaluate how YOU eat and how YOU choose to feed your family and the future of our society - every child counts!

We want to Break Things Down for You.
Life can be busy, hectic, stressful and Hard!  Everyone of us can get overwhelmed when we think about Everything we have to do, and then incorporate a spouse and/or kids...and it can feel daunting!

In the blogs to come, we'll Provide a Suggested Abbreviate Shopping List, to get you started with the basics.
We'll make suggestions that HELP.  Some you may consider, like carving out 2 hours on a Sunday to prepare some meals for the week ahead, and some may take you time to consider and be willing to try; like buying a food-scale - so YOU and your family can start to understand what a "Portion Size" is.  If you have more than 20-25 lbs to lose, and/or your child is over-weight, we need to recognize and admit denial and work hard at taking measures towards better health and well-being for everyone in the family.

We'll review MEAL TIMING and make manageable and TASTY suggestions for each.
